ChatGPT — Your Home and Business Tutor
There’s a lot of talk about AI lately—some of it excited, some a bit panicked. But for me, the most surprising thing about using ChatGPT hasn’t been how clever it is.
It’s been how much I’ve learnt from it.
A tutor who never gets tired of questions
Not by sitting back and letting it do the work. Quite the opposite. I’ve been doing things—writing blog posts, editing pages, managing layouts, all hands-on. But when I hit a snag or just need something explained clearly, I call over my tutor.
And there he is. No eye-rolling. No “Didn’t I already tell you this?” Just patient, step-by-step support, no matter how many times I ask.
Learning by doing—with backup
Books and courses are fine—but they’re static. They give you general answers and hope they fit. ChatGPT gives me the answer I need right now, based on what I’m trying to do.
It explains things clearly, helps me experiment, and always lets me stay in the driver’s seat. I’m still the one making the decisions. But I’ve got a capable, unflappable tutor beside me.
Could it work for you?
If you’re someone who wants to learn, create, or build something—especially if you’re working solo—it’s well worth a try. Treat ChatGPT like a tutor, not a magic fix. Do the work yourself, and use it to guide you when you hit a snag.
That’s exactly how it’s worked for me. Just six months before writing this post, I knew almost nothing about AI or WordPress. Yet here I am—writing about AI and using WP with confidence, managing my blog, and staying curious.
I’ve also got plans for a series of posts offering practical tips on using ChatGPT—whether you’re on the Free version or ChatGPT Plus—with extra ideas aimed at business users who want to make the most of it.
